Board Members

Linda Pechulis – Board President

Linda likes to joke that she’s a “Texas-born Greenie” who made her way to Wyoming as quickly as she could. Singing has been a lifelong passion for her, and she fondly remembers entertaining (and occasionally torturing) her family on road trips during her childhood. Today, she continues that tradition—only with a bit more finesse! As an alto in the CCC, she also performs at church services, memorials, and patriotic events, feeling truly honored and blessed to share her love of music. Linda has been a dedicated member of the CCC for nine years, serving as board president for the past four. She is excited to embark on the choir’s 76th season!

Lori Sauter – Secretary

I am currently in my fourth year with the choir, and it has been an incredibly fulfilling experience! I’m married and a proud grandmother, cherishing every moment with my family. After retiring from a rewarding teaching career, I now enjoy visiting two elementary schools with my therapy dog, spreading joy and comfort to the students. Life is truly wonderful, and I’m grateful for the opportunities to connect with others through music and companionship!

Phylicia Holzapfel- Librarian

My passion for music began in junior high choir and has been a driving force ever since. By the time I graduated from Cheyenne Central High, I was an active participant in multiple choirs. Beyond music, my creative pursuits include painting and crafting. I’ve found that my love for administrative work, coupled with my creative interests, makes the role of a librarian a perfect fit. I also share my love for music with my husband, Wade, who serves as the Artistic Director for the Cheyenne Capital Chorale.

Alaina Niemann – Collaborative Pianist

Alaina Niemann, originally from Englewood, CO, has had a diverse and adventurous journey. A passionate pianist, she earned a full scholarship to the University of Denver, where she studied Piano Performance. Her desire to make an impact led her to join the Peace Corps, where she taught music in Malawi, Africa. Upon returning to the United States, Alaina pursued a master’s in film production at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. After graduate school, she and her husband, Criss, relocated to Southern California, where they spent a decade soaking up the sunny weather. Eventually, they returned to their roots, settling in Cheyenne, WY, with two children in tow. Over the course of ten years, their family grew by two more children, while Alaina juggled five different jobs. Today, she operates a thriving private music studio, plays for several churches, and accompanies two choirs. While her music career keeps her busy, she still dreams of the day she can devote more time to gardening—though in Wyoming, it’s a bit of a challenge!

Bert Hongo – Member At Large

Originally from Northern New York, Bert has always had a deep passion for singing. Over the years, he’s lent his voice to various church choirs, the York Symphony Chorus, and the York Chamber Singers in York, Pennsylvania. However, his career path temporarily sidelined his love for group singing, limiting his opportunities to perform. After retiring, Bert returned to his musical roots and joined the Cheyenne Capital City Chorale and the LCCC Collegiate Chorale, rediscovering the joy of singing with others and continuing to enrich his community with his voice.
