A Letter from Sheila

Dear Cheyenne Capital Chorale,

It is with heavy heart that I write this letter. My husband and I have decided to move to Utah at the end of the summer. I will not be directing Capital Chorale in the upcoming seasons. This decision has been in the works for many years, but we have decided to move forward and get to Utah to join our families there.

The experiences I have encountered with you are too numerous to mention! I have grown so much as a musician, because of you! I have enjoyed working with each of you! We have formed wonderful relationships and have lived our lives side by side. Through the music, we have shared the unspoken wishes of our hearts, shared in our griefs, loves and passions.

I will miss you terribly, but my consolation is this; you have a board who works tirelessly on your behalf! They have your back and have gone to bat for the choir to make sure you will have funding, a director, music, places to rehearse, and concerts to give. I am still sitting in on the board meetings and am actively involved in helping with the selection of the new choir director. Stay tuned for this upcoming season! It will be an adventure! The board needs your input, feedback, and support! Please encourage people to come sing and help out with this wonderful process!

I know change is hard, but I encourage you all to put your best foot forward, and remember we are here to share music with each other and the community! God bless you and thank you for letting me be a small part of your lives!

Just Keep Singing!
